It’s that time of year again. The days are starting to get a little longer. The temperatures are rising. It’s almost summertime in New Mexico. This Thursday, we’re being thankful for the awesome opportunities that the season brings.
Summertime means the end of the school year. Finals are about to be taken, and sweet freedom will follow shortly after. It’s a great time to think about trying new things and enjoying the beautiful scenery that New Mexico has to offer. Go for a bike ride in the Sandia foothills. Pick up a brush and start painting. Try something new that you have always wanted to do. Unless that “thing you’ve always wanted to do” is getting chased by a mountain lion, although we can’t see why it would be (but you never can be too sure). Please don’t do that. This includes being chased by any variety of species that can easily do harm to you (bears, hyenas, etc.). 🙂
Why are you looking forward to the summertime?
We want to know! What activities are you excited about doing in the summer that you just can’t do in the winter? Post a comment on our Facebook page or tweet us a response on Twitter to let us know what kind of things you’ll be into this summer.
