Every November 11th, the United States takes time to remember the men and women who have served our country honorably on Veterans Day. We remember their sacrifices and thank them for their service. From all of us at MVD Express, we want to extend our deep gratitude and respect for those who have done so much for us by serving in our armed forces.
About Veteran’s Day
In 1938, November 11th was named Armistice Day as a day to be dedicated to world peace and to honor those who had served in World War I. But after World War II, and the amount of troops and resources that were used to fight for American interests around the world, the meaning of the day changed to include all those who had served our country in any war. In 1954, Armistice Day was officially renamed as Veterans Day.
