This summer has been hot! With temperatures often reaching into the high 90s and beyond, New Mexico has been in desperate need of a few cooler days. This past week, we got our wish! With copious amounts of rain (and a little bit of thunder and lightning), the temperatures have cooled down. Our recent weather has even allowed closed parks and trails around the state to re-open! Now we can get back to one of our favorite pastimes: trying to outrun a bear down the mountain. This Thursday, we’re thankful for a few cooler days during this hot summer.
Got Pictures?
The rain and lightning storms have presented an opportunity to capture the beauty of nature in a single photograph. If you have pictures of the amazing storms we’ve been having, we’d love to see them! Share them on our Facebook page or tweet us on Twitter!
