Vehicle Registration

To legally use a motor vehicle in the state of New Mexico, maintaining an up-to-date vehicle registration should be your top priority. A legally registered motor vehicle shows that you are the owner of said vehicle and are a contributing taxpayer. Failing to keep your vehicle’s registration up to date can result in a small fine if not remediated within the given timeline.

According to the MVD, “if you are less than 31 days late in renewing your vehicle registration, you must pay a $10.00 penalty, along with the cost of your registration renewal fee.” This penalty can become even more severe if you are late on renewing your vehicle registration by more than 31 days. In fact, you can expect to pay “a penalty equal to 75% of the registration fee. This penalty is added to the cost of your registration renewal fee.” For this reason, we suggest scheduling an appointment with MVD Express to renew your vehicle’s registration both quickly and easily. Driving Tests
